Yet another really useful way to get HDMI from one place to another, the PCE122 can send ultra high quality HDMI v1.3 over a single coaxial cable! (RG6 or RG59). It can send full HD 1080P at up to 120M or 720P up to 230M, both with full 7.1 channel audio. The conversion is fully digital (HDMI to SDI and back again) with no additional compression and gives you crystal clear HD at long distances.
The PCE122 also contains a built-in 1 to 2 Coaxial Splitter to drive two separate receivers and each receivers has a loop-through to daisy chain additional receivers as required. Cables are connected via BNC for a secure, vibration resistant connection.

Most buildings have legacy co-ax already installed and the PCE122 provides an easy upgrade to HDMI without having to pull new cables through. The dual transmitter outputs and receiver daisy-chaining provide multi-room support. Many projectors will be already be cabled with multiple coax runs for RGB / Component so you can use just one of the coax runs to upgrade to HDMI.
The PCE122 is also ideally suited to digital signage applications as it's 120m 1080p range overcomes many problems encountered by other solutions.

The system ships with some BNC to "F" connector adaptors. We can also supply BNC to RF aerial adaptors KA182 although we recommend BNC or "F" to BNC wherever possible as this wil give the most secure connection for reliable results.

Keene replied: In order to get HDMI across an IP network it is necessary to use compression. The PB5000 is "virtually" lossless in that you really can't tell the diffference; the PB900 is noticeable on very large (42"+) displays. Splitting the HDMI upstream of the HDMI over IP would have no effect on the actual network bandwidth. It is possible to connect the PB5000 & PB900 directly - sender to receiver) via CAT5 and avoid connection to a router altogether. If using a router and more than one sender the PB5000 is more easily configured via the dip-switch; the PB900 would require VLAN configuration. Gigabit cabled network is best. The PCE122 is able to send HDMI uncompressed as it does not need to convert it to packet data and is in effect using the same technology as SDI on HD broadcast cameras.

Keene replied: 1/One but you could put a switcher in line before the PCE122. 2// Its unlikely to work through a distribution system but it should work100% reliably point to point. You can daisy chain to additional receivers to send to more than one location.

I believe this works by sending a DC current down the co-ax to the remote i.e and the iR signal is sent back dwon the co-ax."
Keene replied: Unfortunately this will not work . You would need to run an IR system along side.
