"
I am hard of hearing and would like to connect my Sennheiser RS140 headphones to our Sony TV Model No: KD-28DL 10U. Unfortunately all outputs on the TV seem to be affected by the volume control and muting. This makes the output signal variable to say the least when others are watching TV. Would this item be suitable or can you recommend something else that would be suitable. Thank you!"
Keene replied: It was designed with this exact purpose in mind.

My problem is an extremely hard of hearing dad - and him staying with us in a terraced house where we can't have the telly loud enough for him without the neighbourscomplaining. We are looking for significant extra volume through headphones (up to about 90% of max telly volume)while keeping the telly volume low enough for the rest of us to bear. Will this device do what I require? What headphones would be best? Regards - Colin"
Keene replied: Yes this will do this it will work with any headphones.

As this is connected to the Audio outs on the TV. Do those connections get affected by the muted or volume level set through a remote for the TV?
Thanks"
Keene replied: It really depends on the TV. Normally mute would not effect the line out. The TV volume can be adjusted without effecting the amp.

""HARMONY TV HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER"
would i be able to use this product to listen to my dvd's through a pioneer dvd player that does not have a headphone socket on the front? I need to listen to a lot of stuff through headphones but my new pioneer player lacks a headphone jack at the front like my old dvd player. My tv does not have one either.
how would i connect?
thanks for your time
Mr Stafford"
Keene replied: You would need to have a 2phono output in order to connect to our amp. Provided you have this on the DVD then it would work.
5 Clive G on 30 Sep 2008 asked :
